Coşkunöz Education Foundation is implementing a new project to support qualified workforce in the field of additive manufacturing, which is one of the most important technologies of the future and is used in many sectors from automotive to medical, from machine tools to defence and aviation. The applications of the Additive Manufacturing Methods course, one of the final year elective courses of Bursa Uludağ University Mechanical Engineering students, are given by Coşkunöz Education Foundation instructors at the Additive Manufacturing Training and Experience Centre of the Foundation.
Believing in the importance of industry-university cooperation in solving the employment problem of our country, Coşkunöz Education Foundation has added a new one to its activities in this field. The foundation, which supports the training of qualified manpower and intermediate staff needed by the business world and industry through vocational training programmes, scholarships, innovative education models and social responsibility projects, has made a new cooperation with Bursa Uludağ University to support the education of Mechanical Engineering department students. Students who choose the Additive Manufacturing Methods course, one of the final year elective courses of Uludağ University Mechanical Engineering department, take 4 weeks of the course from experienced instructors of the foundation at Coşkunöz Education Foundation's Additive Manufacturing Training and Experience Centre (KÜME), in addition to the 14-week theoretical training plan.
23 mechanical engineering students who chose the Additive Manufacturing Methods course within the scope of the application, which started on 8 May, will have the opportunity to listen to the design for polymer materials, design for metal materials, post-processing and safety issues from the experienced instructors of the foundation for 4 weeks in the Additive Manufacturing Methods course given in KÜME equipped with the latest technology products.
