From the moment we experienced the earthquake, we wanted to take responsibility for the continuation of education, which is our main focus, while continuing our aid to the disaster area and our citizens affected by the earthquake. Because we know that continuing education activities to heal the wounds of this disaster will make a significant difference in the lives of children and youth in the region.
It will be an exemplary school project with applications that will enable both education and students to return to their normal life routines.
Oya Coşkunöz Aktaş pointed out that returning to school, beyond continuing education, will help children and young people return to normal life and leave behind the bad traces of the earthquake, "We will bring approximately 1000 children back to school with the 4 schools we will open in order to help our children and youth continue their education in Hatay Kırıkhan, one of the regions most affected by the earthquake. On the first day of the 2023-2024 academic year, our students will continue their education in modern and safe buildings in our schools. With the education complex, we are excited and proud to realize an exemplary school project, which will include not only education and training, but also practices that will enable our children to socialize, return to their normal life routines, heal their wounds and help them hold on to life with the support of our valuable teachers and educators. We would like to express our endless thanks to the Ministry of National Education, Hatay Governorship, and central and district National Education organizations for their support during the implementation of our 4 schools, which were designed in harmony with the regional texture with their construction model and architectural designs.”
